There isn’t a lot to say about this outfit, so I’ll just post the picture.

cheery-1{Sweater; Banana Republic, Skirt: WHBM, Necklace: Loft, Shoes: Rackroom}

Today is my mom’s birthday…so Happy Birthday Mom!  She’s actually coming over to my house tonight and I’m making a steak dinner(complete with paleo cake for dessert).  Then tomorrow bright and early we’ll be heading to Athens for the weekend(Athens GA that is).  I have to attend a CE conference and she’s coming along just to have fun and hang out with me. I only need about 9 hours total this weekend so that should leave us plenty of time to go shopping at Trader Joe’s and Hobby Lobby(the real reason I think she’s going haha).

I actually have more hours than I need right now, but unfortunately GA only accepts  up to 10 hours of online courses(even if they are a live lecture with a test afterwards), so I have to go get more “live” in person classes to make up the 36 I need to renew my license in December.

Anyways, I hope you have a great weekend!

    Love that grey with the punch of color. The skirt is fantastic. The story about your mum and you is brilliant. Enjoy your weekends.

    Cute outfit, and I have to tell you that I LOVE your glasses bracelet. I’ve noticed that in a few of your posts before. Care to share where you found it?

      OF course! It’s Kate Spade(,en_US,pd.html?dwvar_WBRU5717_color=064&dwvar_WBRU5717_size=UNS&cgid=ks-jewelry-bracelets#start=50&cgid=ks-jewelry-bracelets). I did a whole post about it when I first got it because, well of course I would haha. I came across it back in like February or March and wanted it immediately but didn’t want to pay $78.

      I kept waiting for it to go on sale(it’s still full price even now) and even went to the kate spade store twice and tried it on. Finally about a month ago I got a 20% coupon in my email and I decided to pull the trigger. Then, not even two hours later I was asked to participate in a research study that had a cash reimbursement…so basically it paid for the bracelet. I try to wear it every day so it will become my signature “piece”.

      It’s my only kitchsy optometry related thing(other than a wall light that looks like an eye chart from Ikea). It’s gotten a lot of favorable response from my patients and the frame reps who come by to sell us their frames. I told one of them their company should buy the bracelets and give them out to their female reps for Christmas!

      They also have a necklace and a ring version of it as well.

      Ps-the link is not an affiliate link or anything..just a copy+paste

        Oh sigh. Kate, why do you do this to me?! It is seriously so cute and perfect for your line of work! Thanks for the link. I’m going to keep my eye on it – adorable!

        Yep, of all designers there are out there, Kate Spade is the one whom I could probably wear nearly every single piece she comes out with. It just fits my style to a T.

    i always love that skirt when you wear it, tamara! and i’m a little jealous that you get to spend the weekend in athens, that’s my college town! hopefully it’s not a game weekend, anyway! 🙂

      Not a game weekend, but the city was PACKED!! They had a BUNCH of different activities going on during the weekend so every hotel was sold out and restaurants were packed. I love how beautiful Athens is , but I don’t know if I could handle all the traffic/people all the time.
