I kind of feel like my outfits have been a little too predicable and matchy-matchy lately.  I want to shake things up a bit with some serious pattern mixing today.

I paired my teal plaid skirt with my lace floral blouse and I love

I ordered some of the most gorgeous fabric yesterday(with some birthday money).  It’s pale celadon with abstract purple flowers…and the piece de resistance….It’s Oscar De La Renta Fabric.  Designed by him and manufactured in Italy.  Needless to say, it’s the most expensive apparel fabric I’ve ever bought(I have some upholstery fabric that would have cost more per yard had it not been on sale).  I’m going to make a beautiful dress to wear to one of my employees wedding’s in June.

Even at it’s high cost, it still will cost less to make a beautiful custom dress than to go out and buy one at White House Black Market or somewhere similar.  Obviously, I *could* wear a dress I already own…but where’s the fun in that??   I haven’t yet picked out the silhouette I want to use, but I’ve got a few options I’m toying with.

Have a great weekend!

It is a hard top to style at times, don’t you think? I’ve worn it with a black pencil skirt and that plaid skirt, but I need to come up with more ways to wear it. I can’t really think of anything else to wear it with at this point(other than jeans for a more casual look).
