The newest addition

There is a  new little family member to tell you about.  Her name is Lili and she is an 8 year old Yorkie.  We inherited/adopted her from a friend who could no longer care for her.  We’ve had her for about a month now and she is just part of the family and fitting in with our other girls perfectly.

She clocks in at a whopping 3.5 pounds!  She is so small it’s almost ridiculous.  She makes Aspen(who is very small) look gigantic!

Her favorite person is probably her new daddy(AKA, my husband).  She follows him everywhere and always wants to be in his lap or next to him.  On Sunday, he had left for work from my parents house and had left all his stuff in the loft area for me to bring home later that day. She spent most of the day sleeping on his pillow and blankets.

Her tongue is too long for her mouth so the tip always sticks out!  We asked the vet and he said there is nothing to be done about it.

We had her spayed  yesterday and she did wonderfully.  She was a little pitiful last night but seems to be doing great this morning.   Bailey also had surgery(for teeth extraction and cleaning) and she was back to normal by the time we picked her up last night.

For today’s look, I was inspired(of all places) by the picture on the package of the tights I am wearing today.  The tights themselves are a pale pink/nude color and the picture showed them paired with a black skirt, shoes and blouse and pale pink accessories(cardigan and belt).  I loved the overall aesthetic so I decided to re-create my own version.

These tights are one of the many pairs I picked up during the sales this weekend.

Option 3: How I’m wearing it today

{Blouse: Ann Taylor Factory, Cardigan/Belt: WHBM, Skirt: JC Penney, Necklace/Bracelet: NY&Co, Tights: Kohls(apt. 9 brand), Shoes: Amazon(Enzo Angiolini brand)}

These pictures seriously don’t do justice to the fabulousness that is these shoes.  They are so fabulous that I got them both in black and in a pale nude pink color.  They are about a 4″ heel, but don’t feel anywhere near that tall despite no platform in the front.  You can’t see it in these pictures, but there is lacing with a bow at the back of the shoe.  I had been looking for black closed toe shoes for awhile and these fit the bill perfectly.  I am always drawn to peep toe shoes, but those don’t work well when you are wearing tights!
